Who we are

Children’s data: we don’t collect it

The Thinkerwood app has no accounts and never asks for a child’s name, photo, voice, location or contact details. Game progress (age group, settings, stars, results and creations) is stored only in the browser on your own device (“local storage”). It is never sent to us. You can delete it any time in the grown-up area (“Reset progress”) or by clearing your browser data.

The optional read-aloud feature uses your device’s built-in voice. We do not record or receive any audio.

When you buy

Purchases are handled by our payment partner and reseller, Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record), which processes your name, email, billing country and payment details to complete the sale, send your licence key and meet tax obligations. We receive your email address and order details from Lemon Squeezy so we can provide support and refunds (legal basis: performance of a contract; we keep order records as long as accounting law requires).

Unlocking the app

When you enter a licence key, it is sent from your browser through our website to Lemon Squeezy to check that it is valid and to count the device against your device limit. A random device label is created for this; no other information about you or your child is sent.

Website hosting and fonts

The website is hosted by Netlify, which processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver and protect the site. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google servers. [OPTIONAL: we plan to host fonts ourselves.] We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Contact us at hello@thinkerwood.com. You may also complain to the Czech data protection authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz).
